1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit a website. In this Policy, "cookies" also covers other technologies with equivalent effect, such as pixels, web beacons, local storage and session storage.

2.Legal framework and consent
Storing information on your device, and accessing information stored there, is governed by Article 5(3) of Portuguese Law no. 41/2004 of 18 August (as amended), which implements Directive 2002/58/EC, and by the GDPR where personal data is involved.
- Strictly necessary cookies, required for the website to function and to deliver a service you expressly requested, are exempt from consent. The basis is our legitimate interest in providing a functional and secure website.
- All other cookies — functional, analytics and marketing — are only installed after your prior, freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, obtained through the cookie banner.
In line with CNPD and European Data Protection Board guidance: no option is pre-ticked; refusing is as easy as accepting; continued browsing, scrolling or closing the banner does not constitute consent; and browser settings are not a substitute for consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and is, as a rule, requested again after no more than 6 months.
3.Categories of cookies used

They enable core website functionality: page navigation, security, load balancing, form submission and remembering your cookie choices. The site does not work properly without them.
b) Functional or preference cookies (consent)
They remember choices you make, such as your selected language or details previously entered in forms, improving your experience.

They help us understand how the website is used — most visited pages, time on page, traffic sources and errors — on an aggregated basis, so that we can improve it.
d) Marketing and advertising cookies (consent)

5.International transfers
